OK - I have to apologise at this stage and say that I have not contacted any retailers as life has just been way too hectic and as Lisa says it is now too late to organise a proper expo.

I definitely 3rd doing something casual and I can send an email to the list of retailers I have from last year. In the absence of anyone else coming forward with a venue suggestion I would say the Browns Bay community hall is as good as anywhere else. Do you have any idea what the cost would be?

Anyone volunteering to do cupcakes??

I'll volunteer to do cupcakes (and could do a roundabout trip to collect Audrey?)

Briefly pondered how to do little fondant nappies for the tops of the cupcakes but threw that idea away

For now we either thought of the Browns Bay hall or a local park (will have to check with the council though if that is all right..)
Any other public places that have children around? I know mission bay gets loads of people when it's gorgeous weather..

I will do my best to go down to BB hall and see if i can get some info on price etc..

sorry if i'm bias, but another place that a lot of ppl here are familiar with is summerland community hall (henderson) it's where slingbabies meet. it isn't expensive (bday party is roughly about $60-70 for 6hrs or something) it has a kitchen and a mini playgroud. i can give them a call on monday??

No we dont have a date anymore as 2 weeks time to arrange everything and get to all the retailers will not be enough..
So we can either combine something with the sling thing or we choose a new date to do a casual cloth expo thing..
