They also came with a PUL sleeve, the exterior of which is microfleece. Basically the PUL covers all but a coloured strip of microfleece which is what goes against baby's bottom and the PUL prevents compression wicking, while the coloured microfleece is the stay-dry liner. You fold and put your absorbant material (ie prefold or flat nappy) into the sleeve and lay it coloured side up in the cover. Makes the nappy idiot-proof really. Great idea.

Used the PUL sleeve last night, with 2 hemp flats in a Nix-Nap.
It leaked a little bit around the crotch (wet bodysuit, pants and the outside of the nixnap) I think because it was too bulky and gaping around the thighs.
I think it's brilliant!!!

I'd try it with a hemp flat adn a couple of burley knit twerry booster from Rosie's naps. THAT will be absorbent enough without being too bulky!

I just wasn't sure one hemp flat would be enough...

I agree - one hemp flat will only do a light wee-er.....but BKT is muuuuuch more absorbent.
