Brainstorming themes for 2011

The nice thing about a log cabin, is if you put 6 blocks together you have a nice little cot quilt made form scraps, so its cost very little, and would be gratefully received by any charity.
OK -I'll start a thread later today and put up the requirements for everyone.
I even have my new (second hand) SLR so I can take a photo tutorial!

I wonder if I'm brave enough to attempt a quilt. If it's a once a month thing I could be. How big would a quilt like this be at the end of the year?

Robyn - I've posted a thread for all the details - have a look.
Each block will be 12", and if you decide to make one a month for the whole year you will get the basis for a nice single bed quilt (you need sashing, borders etc)
You can use any multiple of blocks to make smaller projects. 4 blocks would make a nice floor quilt for a baby. 9 blocks a nice picnic rug or blankie for in front of telly.
1 block would make a cushion!!
