Verity, I did mine a couple of sizes up for the bodice and one size down for the body. I had to change the number of increase stitches. But I should have done it just one size up for the bodice because although it knitted to the same size as my other Spring Butterflies, the yarn is quite stretchy. I resolved it and got a perfect fit by just threading a stich around the neckline and that tightened it up nicely. :-)

I didn't double strand mine.

Not sure what nakigirl did.

Believe me it was a total labour of love  I pulled it back 4 times before I was finally happy. My DD2 is a hefty wee thing at 15mths and I wanted it to last the coming Autumn and Spring so I knit the second to biggest size, the whole thing single strand, but stitches as per the pattern. The body of it is quite full but that is what I wanted because I wanted it to sit nicely over her cloth bum. If you want pics of it on so you can see the fit let me know, she is more than happy to model it :vibes:

thanks Robyn, did you have to decrease or increase the number of increase stitches?

You would do less. Just work out the number of stitches between the bottom of the 6-12 month old size and the body of the 3-6 month size body and then work out how many you need to increase it by. I used size 6 needles for the bodice and didn't double strand, and then size 4 needles for the body.
