Leggings pattern testers - 48cm-72cm tallFULL Thanks

Just cutting and sewing these now. I'm presuming that the cutting 1cm allowance is included on the pattern? So I don't have to cut any allowance on it?
Should have them finished in a wee while. (Specially since I recycled an old maternity tee, and I've used the hem on the bottom of the shirt so I don't have to hem them myself I hate hemming little pants )

Have to say they look like they are generously sized, but I will know more when I get them on the little fella

Having had a look at the inside leg seam measurements I'd say they are super generously sized, and I may have to alter the sizing on them...
I 'think' finished inside leg seams will be 8cm, 14cm, 18cm, 24cm for the 4 sizings respectively... L is only 27cm inside leg (to the floor I think from memory) and she's an average sized 2yr old!

If you could possibly measure both inside leg with nappies on- middle crotch to ankle bone, and outside leg - comfortably over top of nappy down outside leg to ankle bone, then measure finished lengths on the garments, height and age of your child and size you used that's give me a better idea of where the measurements are at (admittedly the measurements I'm using are based on the 75% of children not the 50% so will be on the large side)

Is the top casing included in the pattern or do we need to add the 3.5cm to the top? If it is included is the 3.5cm folded in half to fit like a 1.5cm elastic, or do you fold it down 3.5cm? I'm assuming the later (many patterns have a line to indicate where you fold to - this would be helpful) which on holding it against K seems the rise will be too short over the reasonably trim nappy she is wearing at the moment

I think the rise will be a shade short, and the elastic casing and hem are both that much to fold over so you have 3.5cm to put elastic in - let me know if this isn't a good size, I wanted a reasonable width so it's more comfy, but not so much bubs tummy is encased in elastic .
Will remember to add fold lines to the final copy, thanks, hadn't thought of that at all (I tend to just hem to the size elastic I have at the time )

The waist deceived me a bit, I'd probably turn over less than 3.5cm to make these work how I like for K, but the pattern is probably only 2cm short. Here is a pic with a trim nappy (small swaddlebees pocket with infant prefold insert), K is 66cm (mainly extra length in her torso), 6.5kgs, 4.5mths old (wears 3-6mth sized PP pants). Haven't finished waist or hem yet (just overlocked) but the legs will be a perfect length on her and there is plenty of butt space for a bigger nappy still.

ETA: I did the 64cm pattern

ETAA: Used thin very stretchy cotton lycra so these will probably still fit her at the end of spring as 3/4 length tight leggings

Mine are stitched up except for the elastic casing. I need to measure the elastic when I see my niece at the weekend.
Would have been faster except I forced myself to use my coverstitch for the leg hem. First hem was unpicked once and the second took about 10 tries.

On Zafi, I would say 2cm at the back only. They are fine at the front

Just made them. Only took about 15 min and I love the pattern. I used some PP winter weight legging fabric with flower print.
Fits miss 2.5 yrs 90cm with a little room to spare (they are not tights on her, more trousers which I prefer) She is wearing a large sposie at the moment but it is due to be changed so I will try a cloth soon. I turned up the hem about 2-3cm and turned down the waist just enough for the elastic.
Tried them on my tall, slim 4.5yr old DD and they are lovely as 3/4 leggings! Am going to make some more for her in winterweight fabric, adding a few inches on the legs (if thats ok Shar ).

Can get photos if needed.

They are more of a trousers fit on K too
