Oh and print the instructions at 2 images per page so you don't use up too much paper ;) Maybe if I read the instructions it may answer the print size question

eta: hmmmm comparing the ear and forehead sizes between 23% and 26% I'm thinking 23% might be better. What do you think Megan? :twitch: Or print at 26% and don't add seam allowance. Gahhh I'm going to have to try both and not guess arent I? :gaah:

I printed my pattern out the other day. I did mine with no scaling and it spat out 20 or so blank pages :smt044 . I made it to fit the page and printed the pattern on 3 pages (i think it was 3). Looks about the right size when you see the ear piece. I haven't found the right fabric to make it yet...i should really get on to it as DS1 and 2 have brithdays coming very very soon :hide:

yeah I think whatever squeezes on an A4 will be fine but its amazing how much difference the slight change in size makes to my pattern pieces! I'm gonna mock one up tonight.

was it 3.5" across the snout Megan? I think thats what you'd said...
I havent got far either  I've got it printed a bit bigger than that measurement so it would then include the seam allowance....but of course inlarging it to inc it rather than adding it on, would make it a slightly different shape ( I worry about things no one else does 8-[ )

Just so everyone knows (well those that haven't got the pattern already), the lady off Etsy will no longer be offering her pattern for sale. I emailed her last night and she came back to me saying that there have been far too many people making them to sell when the pattern is for personal use only.

She is selling me a copy though, so if you are still wanting one just email her and she will hopefully sell it too you outside of Etsy.

Can't wait to do this, cara is going to love it :D

She actually says on the pattern "you are welcome to make as many stick horses as you like for friends, family and to sell (hey its your creativity and work that makes each one unique....I'm just providing the pattern base...) " she asks for credit to go to Rustic Horseshoe for the design and I bet thats where she feels mad. The ones I've seen in NZ let alone the states havent mentioned her at all. I personally wouldn't have released a pattern that I wanted to sew and sell myself as well. Poor woman!

Ah I had wondered that, yeah she should put on it for "personal use only". Bummer, that would really rip my undies too :(

I bet she was thinking "sell as one offs" rather than people starting their business with it!
