OK I'm up for a challenge and what a great excuse so have made a donation, told all my friends to buy the pattern too but was wondering if one of you smart more experienced knitters can point me in the direction of magic loop for dummies?

I've extended the KAL to finish on 31st May, at the end of April there were only 1 or 2 completed projects, I think everyone had been busy with another KAL and so it just seemed right to extend it.
