Tester needed for a CottonCandy Pocket Nappy. 6kg under
Hi there, I make Pocket Nappies in an OSFM size (fits approx birth to 18 kg), however I am currently trialing a new nappy for very wee babies up to 6kg. I need 2 people who have (or due to have) a premmie or small baby 2-3 kg(approx?) to use the nappy and give me feedback on the fit and effectiveness. Will come complete with absorbant inner. I "need" these nappies back at the end of the trial, so will include a self-addressed post bag for you to use to send back at no cost to you. (it is important that they come back as I need to pass them on for more trials). Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, what size around the waist (like, clothing size)? Sounds good, I'd just hate for it to not fit lol! if you could PM me a basic measurement (?) and I'll be able to get back to you and hopefully send you a nappy.

I have a wee one who only fits NB naps, his smalls don't fit yet. he's 3.6kg. I have trouble with most naps not being small enough in the leg. He's a heavy wetter so I need to stuff his pockets a lot!! Want me as a tester??
Oh, he's on NB sized clothes and most of those are pretty baggy on him!! He's got a few premmie things he wears too. sizing is strange in baby clothes!! his nb things fit pretty well, most are baggy round the waist bit onesies need onesie bummsies to fit over his power stuffed naps!!

Krisha may be a suitable candidate depending on how long her baby stays tucked inside. She tends to have quite large premmies though. Her last one was 6lb 10 oz at 34 weeks which is around the 3 kg mark. So it may depend on how soon her baby arrives.

i just lifted her clothes and measured, 34cm around the waist at the belly button and the legs were less than 18cms as close to the tops as i could get. shes just moving into 0-3clothing but only for length, most waistbands are loose on her. she was 56cm tall about 2-3 weeks ago.

Thanks Robyn, I am due anytime now (YAY made it to 34wks!!), baby is approx 4lbs at the moment, so could be anywhere between 4-7lb when born..rangitotogirl wrote:Krisha may be a suitable candidate depending on how long her baby stays tucked inside. Thanks for all the offers. I have sent out PM's to the people I feel will be most suitable as testers. Thank you again, and feel free to check out my facebook page for the full range of items I make. (Also nappies are on my website)

Review time
I've had the nappy on once and it's in the wash as we speak. First impressions were that it was beautifully made and finished. Second was that the insert was never going to stand up to my heavy wetter!! My wee man was last weighed in at just below 4kg, bit of a porky waist compared to the chicken legs!! I cut out a microfleece liner and put it in the nap then wrangled it on mr squiggly bum.
Fit really well!!! I was so impressed with the leg fit, I've had nighmares trying to get naps to fit his small legs without gaping. http://www.flickr.com/photos/46497571@N ... /lightbox/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/46497571@N ... /lightbox/ This nap fit nice and snug but without leaving any red marks. For a teeny tiiiny nap it seemed to have plenty of crotch coverage but it seemed like the insert almost swam in there.
Loved the insert make up, should dry very quickly, will let you know.
First issue I found was after doing it up. The flaps rolled inwards, nearly all my naps have a double row of snaps but this has only the one so when I got the waist snug the flaps rolled http://www.flickr.com/photos/46497571@N ... /lightbox/
We still have spare snap slots to fit when he's bigger, but obviously not much bigger!! How I wish I had this when he was a tiny NB!! The front can cross over to fit really small waists!
Next up was the fact he super soaked right through the insert in 30 minutes! It leaked up right up to his tummy area and soaked his onesie over the top. I expected this though as he can power wee!! His boy bits were turned downwards when I put the nap on, he just wees that much.
When I get the nap out of the wash and dried I'm going to boost it with a small shaped bamboo booster, then the next time with a bigger bamboo trifold. I have a bamboo or organic cotton prefold to boost with too but don't think they'll fit in the smaller nap. Will report back on whether the boosing pulls the leg elastic away causing leg leaks (a common problem with me so far!..).
Hope this helps so far? Is this the sort of thing you needed to know?

Lovely! This is exactly what I need to know.
As my youngest is just about 3 I cannot try them on her lol! With my next round I shall do a double row of snaps, add absorbancy and widen the insert.
Thank you so much for the feedback

Review Number 2 :p
I stuffed the nap to Zak's requirements!! One nappy, one original insert and one of my own 4 layer bamboo contour boosters. http://www.flickr.com/photos/46497571@N ... /lightbox/
Made quite a bulky nappy. But as mentioned before more than enough crotch room to accomodate extra stuffing! It all fit in fine and fit on Zak fine. Had to let the wing out one snap. I still thought it wouldn't last too long as Zak usually has a bamboo fitted with extra boosting and cover to cope with his power wees. My, was I in for a suprise!! Little monkey fell asleep for 5 hours!! The nappy was HEAVY with wee but no leaks at all. Legs stayed lovely and snug and no wee out of the top, the bamboo booster was just holding it all.

LOVE the way the insert is made with the two layers. Both nappy and insert dried super quick and was ready for use again quickly, really important down here in the cold south! Only thing I'd say is that the insert when folded in half again has a bulge at the bend, not sure how you'd get round that!! The sewn seam makes it stick out right there. Hmm. I'd prefer it to sit flat.
I adore this nappy!!! I'm seriously considering your OSFA ones if the make up is the same!!
The rise at the back is fantastic, even with extra stuffing, no "builders crack" here!!
and I wish I had it when Zak's umbilical cord was healing as the velcro on one of his nappies caught on it and caused him pain
No way that would happen with a) snaps and b) umbilical scoop.
I want ALL his nappies to be wide at the crotch and snug at the legs!!!
Anything else you need? lol. If you whip up a double row snaps and boosted one I'd be happy to try it for you? He probably only has a few weeks max left in it!

Awesome! I'm very happy it worked for you
All my OSFM ones are made the same, the only difference is the snaps to adjust the rise and some are made as day nappies (with cotton prints on the outisde) and some are Minky.
