I have made a couple of nappies to this pattern. It is a great pattern. Very easy to follow, excellent instructions. I love the FOE.
It is a great fit on my skinny wee 18 month old who is 9kg. I found many pocket nappies leaked on her and this was the first one which didn't leak. It is quite narrow through the crotch, I stuff it with a regular prefold folded in 4 and there is only just enough room to fit that along with my hand.
I used hook and loop on the first one I made but ended up unpicking it (it was sewn in a square under the FOE on each wing), re-sewing the FOE and then sewing on hook tabs BSWW style. I really like it done that way - it extends the length of the wings (I did both hook tabs with loop on the other side so they can be crossed at the front onto either side) and means that the tabs are done up in the middle of the nappy so no rubbing on thighs.
It also helps to keep the FOE on the tabs flat.
I have also made one of these nappies with snaps and really like that one too.
I have found the size of the finished nappy varies slightly depending on the quality of the FOE used.
Here is a link to the photos I posted of the first one I made (before I adjusted the hook and loop so now it looks more like the second cover in the photos).

Edited to add: this pattern is trim through the crotch. If you are making it with patterned PUL or suedecloth or other fabric which has no stretch I would recommend adding a couple of cm's through the crotch. I can fit a regular sized prefold (folded in 4) but it is a very snug fit!
