Where would I find self adhesive vinyl?

Where would I find self adhesive vinyl? Or can anyone think of something else that might do the trick (I'm thinking double sided tape on paper)

I wondered about duraseal too, I don't know if it would stick. I might give that a go.

what about freezer paper like for doing stencils, you can get it from spotlight. I think you can get the self adhesive vinyl from spotlight as well but it is quite expensive.

You can get contact adhesive from mitre 10 or the warehouse. Its good for this kind of thing. Used for lining drawers, shelves etc 'back in the day'

Sign writers will also have adhesive vinyl......they may be able to sell you off-cuts

I phoned a sign writers shop and they're getting some offcuts I would never have thought to do that!

You would iron it down, it sticks and then you peel it off when done. Apparently you can also use the paper that is wrapped around photocopy paper. I haven't tried it myself, again you iron the shiny side down and it sticks.
