if something was sold as...

Fabric is 100% polyester with a shiny finish.

On trade me in: Crafts > Fabric > Other

What would you expect the fabric to be?

On trademe I wouldn't expect anything........I've bought fabric twice off trademe, neither time has it been what the seller said it was  .

Unless I'd asked otherwise I'd probably expect it to be a polyester something to be honest. That's if it was even put into the right category to start with  .

The seller might not know it's satin. Seems everytime I look at the fabrics they are being listed on behalf, or there seemed to be a lot of estate sales going on. Chances are those people aren't going to have a clue what it is. I'd say putting it in the "other" category (even though there's a satin category) indicated the seller had no clue what it was :).

Yeah I agree....neither of the trades I did were intentionally misleading, they just didn't really understand what it was they were selling....I just sucked it up and vowed not to buy fabric from trademe again unless it was from a retailer  .
