Hi there...I'm wondering if Kutwell's is still open in CHCH and if so has anyone been there lately? Do they still have the open ended zips real cheap? My brother brought some up for me last time and they were all $1, $2 or $3 depending on the length and now wishing I'd got him to get more.

yes they are open.
They have lots of zips .. don't know the prices.

Thanks Kaz it would appear they have Skype shopping! I can dial them up and get them to show me the fabrics :roll:

Off to get my patterns drafted and write a shopping list...I have missed their selection at great prices...

I'm not sure that's up and running yet, he was explaining to a customer last week it would be middle of April before it was definitely up and running.

Skype fabric shopping. That's classic.
I feel really sorry for him.. he bought the business in had the grand opening only a couple of weeks before the feb quake.. and then sat on the very edge of the red zone where no one wanted to go. Hope things are picking up for him.

I was in there yesterday a LMAO at them testing out the Skype calling. :smt044

all you could hear we're comments like "I can't see any fabric, only your face." , "I can see fabric now, hang on, that's what's in front of me." I think they need a 13 yr old boy to set them straight

Oh dear...Oh well...maybe a phone call or email might be best for now...do they still have the cheap poplin? Just after plain colours for trims on clothing and since the print stuff I have is not 100% cotton I am not about to pay $28p/m for quilting cotton!!!
