stripe vest for 4yr old girl

My friend has asked my Mum to knit a vest for her 4yr old girl. She went to Knitworld this morning and got two different colours because they didn't have enough of the one colour she wanted. She wants Mum to knit a stripe vest. .

Any suggestions on a cute vest pattern that would look good in a stripe for a wee girl?

Hotshot looks awesome striped and is very easy to do...though it's more of a vest-tee than a standard traditional vest

Sorry, should have mentioned it is 8ply.

She is an adorable wee Japanese dot, a real girly girl so I think something girly but obviously with the stripe it can't be too patterned...... maybe I should just get Mum to stick with the good old milo.
