Hat pattern Licences

Post by white-rose » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:04 pm

Which hat patterns can you knit for selling without a cottage licence? I put a picture of my Potaes on FB and a friend has asked me to knit one for her - now I know that potae cant be knit for profit (not that I will make any profit really, just cover costs) but I want to give her some options to choose from and I dont know what patterns you can do that with. I dont really want to buy a cottage licence becuase I dont really have time to make use of it.

TIA :D

If she specifically wanted potae then presumably she could buy her own copy of the pattern and have it knitted by you for her?
