How many snaps along the front of a nappy

I'm putting snaps on my nappies and wondered if there is an 'optimum' number of snaps/spacing of snaps that go on the front of the nappies? At the moment I am putting 2 snaps on each wing (about an inch apart) plus 2 reverse snaps on one wing (if that makes sense) then 5 snaps on the front of the nappy - should I be putting more on?

I usually buy nippa nappies but the fabric I have won't nippa hence the reason for the snaps (that and the fact that I can colour co-ordinate the snaps )

I think there are loads of different options. The ones I've done so far have 2 snaps on the wings (one above the other) and then two rows of 6 snaps on the front. So at smallest size the wings just meet in the middle and then 2 other settings on each side out from there. Does that make sense?? That's on a M size pocket but I don't have a baby to try them out on yet

Cheers Tentacles, how close to the top of the nappy are you putting your snaps?

i think this is one of those things that is personal preference

but that said, i've made nappies with 2rows of 6, and 2 rows of eight ..... i get a better fit on b with the two rows of eight.

but thats just us

in terms of where to put the snaps on the tummy, bring the wings to the front, estimate where the snaps will be on that, then just put the ones on the tummy where you're happy with the wings sitting IYKWIM

I usually have 6 or 8 snaps on the front in a single row with 3cm between each snap. I find that's perfect for us.
