I have seen the flannelette/cotton flats at the Baby Factory, but I have heard that terry flats are better and more absorbent. But cannot find them anywhere... would anyone know where I can get theses?

I live in Wellington...

What is the difference between the indian & chinese flats? Which are better? Or is there no difference?

I'm sorry I can't tell you. Mum & I suspect Indian would be better quality.

I was also thinking about this thread this morning - funny you should post. I bought some nappies off a lady months ago and had them sent here to Mum's (so I didn't have to fly with as much). I'm here at the moment and I am so impressed at the quality of the nappies. They are just yummy - way superior to my cheap ones bought from Farmers. I paid $8 for 10 (bought 20 and paid $5 postage, so $21 for 20 is a really good deal for these). Here's the link to one of her packs http://www.bestbids.co.nz/auctiondetails.php?id=16465. It looks like she has a few packs left.

(in the message above I bought 10 towelling nappies for $10 from the same lady off TradeMe. Then when I emailed her for some flats as well she referred me to BestBids where there is no sale fee (and she could build up feedback)).

Leane do they wash up well. Even if put out in the sun. I have some that I got n15 yr ago for no. 1 but they are so stiff when put out in the sun. And I have so many of them. I do not want to put them in the dryer every day

Yeah, I'm impressed with these. They feel thick, but not stiff. Mind you, today was overcast, so maybe they dried a bit slower? Definitely impressed by them (might take them home with me and leave my thin ones!)
