New Ecobubs Wool Pocket

Postby pixeldust » Fri Jun 13, 2008 7:23 pm

We have a red/cream stripe and it has basically no pilling at all and looks still almost brand new after a few months of constant use. The wool is definitely holding up better than the original (even though I'm still using Ecostore powder )

But how can a wool covered pocket act as a soaker? Doesn't the wool sit on top of the PUL? How does the wool have any effect at all? I guess it would be a bit warmer. But wouldn't a soaker that covers any gaps at the legs or waist be better?

The wool does wick :D Other than that, I have no idea why it works

DOESN'T

sorry

Correct! :D

Just to clarify the NEW pockets - the colours are:

*Ruby Stripe
*Chocolate & Baby Blue stripe
*Navy Stripe
*Cream (which is solid but still the same fabric as the other stripes)

Bumbles actually have all the new ones in stock now and Paula probably hasn't had time to take the old ones off the website.

I was there the day she got the new stock and took the old stock off the shelves.

If you PM her (navarri) I'm sure she will let you know which clolours/sizes she has

The new wool ones are all stripes, except the plain cream. Blush, Moss and Ocean are all solid colours.

If you were going to go for these, go for Ocean, it didn't have the same issues as some of the blush/moss ones.

I received my (well Peyton's) new night nappy in the mail yesterday.

I just have to say that after owning one of all the different types of Ecobubs wool pockets there have been, the wool on these look very hard wearing!

Awesome that Bec has got the wool milled especially for these nappies. :smt023

Love the stripes too! :)

I've had probably all the different types of Ecobubs wool pockets too, and the stripes ones have NO pilling and are wearing very nicely. LOVE LOVE LOVE'em!

I have just ordered six  . It was my not using disposables while away at all compromise. Jack wore a sposie the other night after been at my mums and in the morning it was yuk and sqishy and stinky and we only have 3 large fuzzis that we use as night naps which is a bit of mission to get them washed dried and ready use for the second night. I also got three metres of bamboo from a lovely naki girl and another lovely one is going to overlock it for me!!! Will let you know how I get on.

Edited to add:

They arrived!

does anyone had any prob with snap on their baby blue/chox stripe ones?

with ours, one of the snaps tore away from the wool and i've noticed on TP, Monty's selling hers that has a couple of holes around one of the snaps as well. i understand it must have been from the pulling when nappy is on (KWIM?)

it doesn't effect its use but never had this prob with any other colour before..
