Sewing Pattern testers wtd pls-sml pocket-update p3 4testers

Post by Dunners » Sun Sep 20, 2009 10:25 pm

I have a size small pocket pattern that I am in the process of writing up to sell. I am looking for some testers please.

The testing will involve 2 parts;
1. Feedback regarding following the pattern & instructions
and
2. Size range and fit

It would be very helpful for me if you had more than one child (not necessarily your own ;)) that you could try the completed nappy on to help give me a size range/age. My William was wearing this pattern from birth (7 lb 12 oz) until 6 months old when the rise started to be inadequate (though he is on the small side so I certainly wouldn't expect all 6 month olds to still fit it).

You will need access to a snap press. The pocket is fastened with snaps. It has the option of snap-adjustable leg elastic to increase the range of fit.

I am looking for a range of sewing skill levels in the testers please, all are welcome to apply.

You will need access to a printer to print out the pattern & instructions which will be emailed to you in the form of a PDF file.

I will be looking for permission to publish photos of the nappy being worn (faces not required), baby age/size details, and any comments that you would be happy for me to share.

And finally, I have a very quick turnaround requirement. I am still writing up the instructions and hope to have them finished by the end of this week, definitely by the middle of next week. I would need feedback etc back by the end of October.

My very small gift in return for your help will be a copy of final copy of the pattern & instructions (by PDF) for your personal use.

If you are keen, please post below providing me with the following details;

1. Your sewing skills (beginner, moderate, experienced)
2. The approximate ages of the child(ren) under 6 months of age that you have access to for trying on the completed pocket
3. Can you provide photos, sizing details and permission for me to use them?
4. Are you able to meet the short testing deadline with ease?

Thank you!

Aw, I wish I had a little baby to try it on because I'd be happy to test the pattern. Does it matter that DS is the size of some 6 month olds? Just trying to think if I know of any smaller babies around.

I dont have the energy to sew now (let alone use the snap press!) but will have a baby to try a sewn nappy on if you or anyone else wants a tester.
