Nappy pattern to play with (should now print the right size)

Nappy pattern to play with (should now print the right size)

Postby drlauren » Tue Feb 09, 2010 1:53 pm

I've been fiddling with a pattern for the last week and think i'm mostly happy with it at the small end, though have no idea how it will fit at the larger end so if anyone wants a pattern to play with/make changes/suggestions i welcome your input.

I think it will fit from newborn/soon after as the holes look a similar size to shars NB pattern, when all the smaps are undone it looks bigger than a medium itty though not as big as the weka weka side snap (i wanted it to fit on my not quite 50cm bits of minky still).

here is it made up (realy too big for Mr Bear on the largest setting):

Edited : now a pdf over 3 pages ( hopefully it works this time)

looks cute :) I just printed the 1st piece at 100% A4 paper and its not to scale. The 1cm box is approx 3/4 of what it should be. What settings did you have to print correct size? perhaps 130%? I can have a play when I'm back from school pickup and I'm happy to try your pattern out :D

ok, it prints to scale at between 124% & 123%, at A4 paper setting but the first piece is to long for one page so prints on 2.

:( silly photoshop, i just print without scaling and it comes out right.

also I have vague memories of my printer being borderless when i got it a few years back, will chop up the pieces more :)

oops, should have put that on the pattern,
I used lastin for the legs, just streatched as i went.
for the back casing i sew the first end down, then mark at 11cm from the first sewn bit, but then sew at ~ 10cm (so then pen mark isn't hidden in the casing when i'm sewing the second end down if that makes sense)
i used 10mm for the minky casing and 6mm for the lining casing (mainly cause it's easier to work off two rolls the way i do it, i think 10 and 10 would be just the same)
